Henry Addington's 1774 Land Grant
Union County, South Carolina

Henry Addington (1720-1787) moved his family from Loudoun County, Virginia to Union County, South Carolina some time between 1768 and 1774. In 1774 he received a land grant for 250 acres about 2 miles south of the town of Cross Keys.

The remains of the house on Henry Addington's land in August 1992 at the 1992 Addington Family Reunion. It is not clear whether this dates from the 1780s or a later period.

Henry Addington died in 1787. It is not known where he was buried but one logical place might be on his homestead.
